“The first property and casualty license was achieved on January 5th, 2005″ Owner John Will Tenney told us at the January 27th celebration at their offices in Orlando. “In the past five years we have added others at various times such as Life, Health and Variable Annuities; General Agency; and Managing General Agency.”

The Tenncom Group has been in business since 1994, but entered the PEO consulting world in 2003. A license became necessary in 2005 for the purposes of placing master workers’ compensation policies with PEOs.

Through it’s subsidiaries, PEO Pros and PAY-surance HR, the Tenncom Group offers the following services to PEOs:

* Custom and Master Policies in Workers’ Compensation
* Custom and Master Policies in General Liability
* Custom and Master Policies in Group Health Plans
* Custom and Master Policies in Employment Practices Liability (EPLI)

In addition, they serve as brokers, helping clients find the right PEO or payroll solution to solve the headaches of being an employer.

John Will tells us, “This article when through several editorial changes before it was mutually acceptable to the Insider editor and me. My feelings were a little strong on the subject but Stephanie Oetjen calmed me down enough to publish a (hopefully) informational article.”
